Harry jumped the gun

So, ASM2 Electric Boogaloo has been out for awhile now and while I enjoyed it, I gotta say, it does have some issues. Namely, Harry's fall to evil.
Now, Raimi-Harry spiraled into evil but it makes sense, he thought Spidey killed his dad, as in the comics. The real villain in that version is the butler. Screw that dude.
So, in ASM2, we find out that Norman is a frail old man and he's dying from what I'm calling
'The Goblin Virus' due to this, his skin is green, his nails are long and gnarly, and he's dying. I mentioned that right? Anyway, he tells Harry that the 'Goblin Virus' is genetic and even with his insane amount of money and resources, he couldn't cure it but it still took years and years to kill him. In Harry, it's just starting to manifest. Harry panics, but, if he paused to think about it, he would have realized that he had a lifetime to figure this out. Instead of rushing Peter/Spidey and jumping at them, he could have sat down and talked with them and paid scientists around the world to experimet with his blood and spider blood until they figured out how to cure him.
Now, the Execs kicking him out would have bee a problem, but with this scenario, he could either ask Spidey for help dealing with them or just hire Electro again.
Either way, Gwen lives, Peter asks to use Oscorp resources to find out what happened to his parents and shows Harry the video his father left him, and Harry realizes he can relax and let the army of scientists he can hire to deal with it.

But instead, he panicked, jumped the gun, and now Gwen's dead. Smooooth Harry.

  1. To be fair on his part. Harry was dying and usually that doesn't leave one open to rational thought. Take Tony Stark's meltdown in IM2 for instance

  2. But to be fair again, it was a slow process. He had years to figure this out. I can understand where he's coming from, but if he had thought about it for a minute, and if he really had consulted with experts, then he would have realized that he indeed have years.
